Health Update

Buddy says, 'Hey, I'm doing great! Got my ears cleaned and nails clipped this morning. It wasn't too bad, mom is pretty gentle. Then she fed me my sardines, liver & catfish with finely chopped asparagus. And then she made my cookies. I tried one, it was great! It had peanut butter, blueberries & vegetable fish broth with a touch of garlic. Mmmmm! Thanks mom! Love you.' September 21st, 2009

The Floaty Thing Moves

Nov 24th, 2008 by Joanne | 1

My Googy BoyWell, Buddy has been stable and healthy for almost all of November now. It’s been a great month for him, and so for me too!

We had to go to the opthamologist on Novemeber 3rd because he got into something that upset his system and the original eye ulcer opened again. I also wanted another experienced opinion on the cyst in his other (right) eye.

Anyhow, here’s my Bud flaking on the couch.

Dr. Zigler at the Mississauga-Oakville Specialist/Emergency Clinic is a super nice man. This was the second time Buddy went to see him and again we got good news!

The cyst is benign and common. They don’t usually do anything about them unless/until they start to block the vision. AND, he said they move. He said if you looked at it while Buddy was on his back, it would probably float up to the top of the eye.

You can see in the pic in his right eye how it has moved off to the side. I’ll have to try and capture him on his back too just for fun.

Dead FrogAh my boy, he is truly feeling well although he was in killer mode today. This morning he tore the foot off a squirrel he’s had for over a year and this afternoon he ripped the guts out of a camo frog I got him about a month ago. What’s up with that Bud? My dorky little guy makes my day! I must say he was pretty organized about it.

    Hey Joanne,

Buddy is so cute! I’m really glad to hear that he is feeling a little bit better everyday. He is really lucky to have a great owner like you! So does he have to go back to the vet for any more treatments or is he ok for now?

By the way, I’m a first time reader and I will definitely be back to see how Buddy continues to do.
